Gran Torino

Quite a good film - Clint Eastwood is very funny, playing a sort of parody of himself. The story has a beginning, and middle and an end, and it’s got a point to make. But… none of the characters apart from Clint really have anything to them: they’re just cardboard cutouts for him to play off. And the bad-guys, a variety of local ethnic gangsters, are cartoonish and implausible.

At the end you get to hear Clint singing the theme music, which is great.
