3rd Leg: Paris - Strasbourg
Saturday

So, here we are on the third leg of the journey already. The old third leg, eh? I suppose some will not be entertained by this.
This is just a short journey; though longer in distance, I think, than London-Paris - we are in a high-speed train that crosses France in an hour and a half. We are now well into the eastern half, the day has turned bright and sunny, and we are in heavily forested, hilly country. It seems to me that the houses are already beginning to look more Germanic.
The last 24 hours have been pretty heavy on travel-time… but there will be plenty more of that to come over the next two weeks. I hope I don’t get sick of sitting here with this note-pad, looking out at countries rushing by.
CC: The first Culinary Checkpoint of the journey - croissants and coffee in Paris - has now been fulfilled (with my sister Clare in her rather nice and very supplied-by-the-company appartment).
