Everyone knows that most suits look miserable in a big city, but to Chris Gardner, at that point, they all *seemed* happy. That was the start of his burning desire to change his life for the better. I think viewers take away from this movie what they already believe - some feel it's about greed and a the false idolatry of money, others (like me) feel it's about finding happiness through overcoming adversity and pursuing your dreams. I think viewers take away from this movie what they already believe - some feel it’s about greed and a the false idolatry of money, others (like me) feel it’s about finding happiness through overcoming adversity and pursuing your dreams.
