Last night I dreamt that Britain had implemented a new system for adjudicating on asylum cases for immigrants. In the new system, each would-be migrant had to bring a curry to their case adjudicator. This government official would be specially trained in the tasting of spices, and could judge how combinations of spices reflected the history of the cook.
So each applicant would bring their curry, that would be carefully tasted by the immigration official. The official would then surmise from the combination of spices used exactly where the migrant had come from, what their history had been, and make an asylum ruling accordingly. Bangladeshis were known to be doing very well from the new system.
