After two weeks of time-hungry house-hunting, I have a new place!
And I am very pleased with it. I will now be living in an apartment block quite close to central London. Blocks of councilish housing may not sound very nice, but I actually quite like the apartment, which is small but colourful, and has a great view from our bedroom. The apartments are on a quite beautiful road lined with plane trees, that curves up from Highbury-Islington tube station, in the direction of Finsbury Park. We will be within close reach of both the more gentrified swank in Islington, and the more heterogenous, multi-ethnic centres to the north and east. We are also really close to Highbury Fields, which is no Hampstead Heath, but will still provide sufficient relief from grime and traffic.
