Well, I would be be the first to admit that the man was a bit of a clown.
But - he did what he believed in, he didn’t hurt anybody, and as far as I know he spent a lot of his earnings on his wildlife park in Queensland.
And he died doing what he loved best - risking his life with dangerous animals. The echoes of Timothy Treadwell are unavoidable.


Was I the only person who read with disgust some Queensland politician’s comments about “What a tragedy this is for Queenslad tourism”? I thought that was a crude and thoughtless comment - typical of these crass Queensland money-makers who only see the state as a cash cow. Shame on them.
