I would just like to tell the world that my job really really really sucks. I should never have let myself in for this mess.
Right now, I would rather be an impoverished, filthy mendicant than keep having to spend 11 hours a day in the hell-hole that they call our office.
In other news, Oriana rang me today to tell me that her mother had rang her to tell her that she (her mother) is coming to stay with us in London. She is coming on the weekend, two days from now, and I have been informed that she will be staying for a week. Just to clarify, she didn’t call to ask about it, she called to warn us. I don’t think she speaks any English, and I’m not sure if she’s spent much time in cities - as far as I know, she has lived all her life on the Canary Islands.
It occurred to me maybe I should quit my job to hang out with Oriana’s mother.
